PALITRA eSIM

Guide

Before you buy

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM profile installed on a compatible device through a link or QR code. No physical SIM card is required. A PALITRA eSIM plan provides mobile data in the listed countries without using your home carrier's roaming service.

What is included in a plan?

Plans provide mobile data only: no phone number, standard voice calls or SMS are included. The data allowance, validity, coverage, 5G support and top-up availability are shown on the plan card. Actual speed and 5G availability depend on the local network, coverage and device.

How do I check phone compatibility?

Open the mobile network settings and look for an “Add eSIM” option. Then make sure the device is not locked to one carrier. Support depends on the exact model, sales region and firmware, so if in doubt check the model number with the manufacturer or your carrier.

How do I choose a country and plan?

Select the country or region where you will use data and review the coverage list before paying. Estimate the data and validity needed for your trip. Choosing the wrong country, region, validity or allowance is not by itself grounds for a refund.

When does the validity period start?

The start rule depends on the plan and Partner Operator: it usually begins with the first data session on a supported network, but some plans begin on installation. Check the plan description and the “Valid until” field under My eSIMs.

Installation and activation

Where can I find my eSIM after purchase?

Open My eSIMs and select the purchased eSIM. You will find the install button, QR code and ICCID there. The details are also sent by the Telegram bot. Never share the QR code or activation code with anyone.

How do I install an eSIM on iPhone?

Open the eSIM under My eSIMs and tap “Install on this iPhone”. Direct installation requires iOS 17.4 or later. If it is unavailable, go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM and scan the QR code from another screen.

How do I install an eSIM on Android?

Open the eSIM under My eSIMs and tap “Install on this phone”. If direct installation is not supported by the model, go to Settings → Network & internet or Connections → SIMs / SIM manager → Add eSIM and scan the QR code. Menu names vary by manufacturer.

What is the difference between installation and activation?

Installation adds the eSIM profile to the device. Activation occurs with the first data session on a supported network. Installation needs internet, so add the profile over Wi-Fi before the trip, but turn on mobile data and roaming for this eSIM only when you are ready to use the plan.

Can I delete or transfer an eSIM?

Do not delete an installed eSIM: its QR code is normally single-use, and reinstallation or transfer to another device may be impossible. Hiding an eSIM in the app does not remove the profile from the phone. Contact support before resetting or replacing the device.

Using your eSIM

How do I get online after arrival?

In phone settings, turn on the eSIM, select it for mobile data and enable Data Roaming for it. You may keep your primary SIM for calls, but disable mobile data and automatic data switching on that SIM to avoid home-carrier charges.

Where can I see remaining data and validity?

Open My eSIMs and select the eSIM. The app shows remaining data, activation status and expiry date when provided by the Partner Operator. Updates may be delayed by several minutes.

How do I add more data?

If the plan supports top-ups, an “Add data” button appears on the active eSIM card. Select and pay for a package. It is applied to the same eSIM, so no new profile needs to be installed.

Can I use a hotspot?

Hotspot availability depends on the plan, local network and device. If the plan card does not confirm it, tethering is not guaranteed. Fair-use restrictions may also reduce speed on unlimited plans.

What does “Awaiting activation” mean?

The profile has not started its first data session. Make sure you are in a covered country, the eSIM is enabled and selected for mobile data, and Data Roaming is on. This status is normal before the trip.

Payments and refunds

How do Balance and Bonuses work?

Balance is an internal record of funds available for Orders. Bonuses are loyalty units that can pay the eligible part of an Order, but cannot be withdrawn, sold or transferred to another person.

When is a refund available?

A request may be submitted within 14 days of payment only if the plan has not expired and not a single megabyte has been used. Once the eSIM is activated and any data usage is recorded, no refund is available. Each request is reviewed separately under the offer.

Where does an approved refund go?

The approved monetary amount is credited to the in-app Balance, used Bonuses are restored, and related rewards may be reversed. The funds may be used for another Order or withdrawn by contacting support.

What if I was charged twice or did not receive an eSIM?

Do not immediately create another payment. Check My eSIMs and bot messages, then contact support with the date, amount and payment method. Never send full bank card details, the eSIM QR code or activation code.

Troubleshooting

There is no internet on the eSIM

Check in order: you are in a covered country; the eSIM is enabled and selected for mobile data; Data Roaming is on; automatic data switching is off. Then enable airplane mode for 30 seconds, turn it off and restart the phone. If there is still no network, leave network selection on automatic and wait several minutes.

The QR code is invalid or already used

The QR code is normally single-use. First check whether the eSIM already appears in phone settings; an installed profile does not need to be scanned again. If the profile is absent and installation did not finish, keep the Order details and contact support.

Installation or activation failed

Connect to stable Wi-Fi, temporarily disable apps that modify the network connection, and retry once. Check for a free eSIM slot and carrier lock, then restart the device. Do not delete a partially installed profile before support replies.

Internet is slow or disconnects

Speed depends on local coverage and network congestion. Move to a location with a better signal, enable airplane mode for 30 seconds, then return network selection to automatic. Unlimited plans may reduce speed after a certain amount of usage.

What should I send to support?

Provide the ICCID from the eSIM card, country and city, phone model, system version, time of the issue and steps already tried. Attach screenshots of the error and mobile data settings without personal information. Never send the QR code, activation code or full bank card details.
